After decades of dueling diet philosophies and nutritional paradoxes, The Mindspan Diet finally provides a comprehensive explanation of the importance of diet in the fitness and longevity of body and mind. It compares the essential similarities of authentic Mediterranean and Asian longevity diets, and contrasts them with the highly sanitized versions widely promoted today. It shows which foods and nutrients are the most important factors in physical and mental longevity. It explains which nutrients accelerate cognitive decline and the development of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. It reveals what is wrong with typical, mainstream dietary recommendations. And it puts you on a clear and proven path to greater fitness and longevity of both body and mind.
PRAISE FOR THE MINDSPAN DIET
“Dr. Estep exposes common misconceptions and well-intentioned but misguided advice on aging and diet. Rigorously researched, this book is also full of tasty tips—illuminating not just a set of rules to follow as blindly as the last set, but how you can apply scientific methods to assess these and other important issues in our increasingly technical world. You owe it to your family, friends, and personal curiosity to digest and share this amazing feast of ideas.”
